Xena
Please welcome Xena …

We were contacted by another local rescue who had been alerted to this poor girl in need of help. Xena had been presented to them with burns to her face and a broken hock.
Following on from Xrays of her broken hock, this has been deemed as an old injury. She is mobile and this is not causing her pain any longer, but if surgery will help her in the longer term, then we will certainly pursue this route.
Her face is healing well and hopefully once her fur grows back, the physical injuries will fade and disappear – The lasting effect of the emotional trauma that she has endured, may take longer to heal

Xena is 4 year old Dutch Shepherd, and my goodness, what a sweet natured girl she really is. Despite her having endured horrific treatment at the hands of humans, she is again, a living testamant to the wonderful creatures that dogs are, and how forgiving they can be when the human race often doesn’t deserve such clemency.
We are seeking an experienced home, without any young resident or visiting children. Xena will require a quiet, calm environment where she can build her confidence back in people, and life in general.
She may be suitable to be rehomed with another dog, subject to the right match and successful meet and greets.
She is untested with cats.
Please give us a call between 11-2pm any day if you may be interested in having further information on rehoming Xena, on 01430 423986.
