Trev

Trev is a medium sized crossbreed dog who originally came over from Romania as a young dog 3 years ago, where he had been living as a stray with his siblings.

He has been living in a home up until now, but he does have some behaviours which require understanding and management. As he has had to scavange for food and sustinance, he does have some issues in respect of food guarding, so he would need a home that has expereince of managing this trait in a dog.

He is a very sweet, loving dog once he knows you and has invitied you into his space – but he is also a dog who would prefer not to have uninvited or sudden interaction that he is not expecting as this makes him uneasy.

These are behaviours that are to be expected of a Romanian dog who has entered a world where his safety and security are threatened many times every day. They are however, very much diluted after being in a home environment , but as with all dogs, we need to be aware of possible triggers which can awaken those pre-wired instincts from a past experience.

The aforementioned traits are all fairly easily managed in a home with experience, and we can offer advice on how to prevent any issues going forward.

Trev is friendly around other dogs, but we are looking for a home without any other dogs, just to prevent any food related issues. He will , however happily walk with other doggie friends 🙂

He is not suitable to live with children as he likes routine and a calm environment without too much hustle and bustle.

Trev loves his walks and is a lovely dog to be out and about with – He is calm and easy to walk on a lead.

He is also a very clean dog who likes to keep his bedroom tidy 🙂
