Description

Poppy is looking for a new home as she came under the care of the Dog Wardens in a very emaciated condition. As you can see, she still has some way to go, but the main thing is, she now has access to food and her body can now rebuild itself.

She is a really sweet, young girl who, despite being through such a trauma of starvation which almost ended her life, has an amazing love for humans and is really starting to show her zest for life again now that she has the strength to stand and move around again.

We are looking for an experienced home for Poppy who can continue to nurture her and bring her back to her full health. She seems to enjoy the company of other dogs of a similar size and breed, so we may rehome her with a similar dog subject to the right match and successful meet and greets.

Poppy has a very high prey drive therefore we cannot rehome her with small dogs, cats or other small animals and any potential home would need to be aware of this.

As she has an unknown history, we cannot rehome her with young children, however a home with older, dog savvy children may be considered.
