Description

Manny originally came to us after being picked up as a stray in Romania.  He came to us a very nervous and untrusting dog but with time he learned that we were here to help him and he began to trust us over time.  We initially found him a home with another dog as we felt he would benefit from having a doggy companion to help with his confidence.  Unfortunately after a good start, Manny became quite boisterous with the other dog and the owners felt that he was too much and their existing dog was becoming unhappy so the decision was made to return him.

After coming back, it wasn’t long before we found Manny another home that we thought would be a better match with no other animals.  He settled in really well and was growing in confidence and learning new things but sadly he has been returned to us as his owners felt that he wasn’t the right dog for them.  Manny had displayed some behaviour that they didn’t feel comfortable with or able to deal with, we can discuss this with any potential new owners but we do feel that his behaviour was a result of being in pain or in distress.

He is a loving boy who has plenty of energy and zest for life.  He enjoys routine and takes time to adjust to any changes, he is still a nervous boy but he has come on leaps and bounds since initially arriving at the centre.  He will need an adult only home with no other animals and someone who has lots of experience with nervous, flighty dogs.
