Kimchi
This lovely boy, is Kimchi. He has only been in the Uk since October 2024 after being saved from a Ukrainian shelter. He is a medium sized crossbreed dog who is seeking a new home who can help him to adjust to life outside of the Ukrainian countryside.
He is a sweet and kind boy, without a bad bone in his body, who had a difficult upbringing in Ukraine, who is looking for a new owner who is gentle, patient and lives a quiet life. He is shy and timid in unfamiliar circumstances but this is a reflection of the difficulties he has faced growing up, and not who he is as a dog.
There is a brave and adventurous boy inside, but he needs help to show this as he finds new surroundings daunting. We are hoping that with the correct love, care and environment for him to grow in, that he can be your best friend for life.
Kimchi arrived in the UK as a broken boy, when he arrived, he had a hernia wound which had become infected during his journey across Europe, and he was very slim. He received the medical care that he required and he soon looked a more healthy weight.
Kimchi was rehomed to a busy area of London and has struggled with life in a built up area the associated hustle and bustle that this environment brings. He is currently in a local, rural foster home where he is beginning to show signs of the wonderful dog that he can be with a quieter environment where his confidence can be nurtured and his mental strength can be improved.
We are looking for a quiet, calm and experienced home for Kimchi, with magnanimous patience and understanding. We feel that a home with a calm, well balanced, older dog may also help him with his confidence.
He is not suitable to be rehomed with resident or visiting children just so that he has a calm environment, without too much hustle and bustle.
As Kimchi is worried about the outside world – he does use puppy pads currently for his toilettng – It may / will take some time before he is comfortable to step outside for his toiletting so this is something which will also need to be consided 🙂
The key with Kimchi will be based around developing his confidence, and for him to become comfortable and secure in his surroundings and with his new owner.
