Description

Amber is a young 14 month old Staffordshire Bull terrier cross, who has been with us some time now. She has not had the best start for a young dog and adding to this, she has spent almost a year in kennels awaiting a home that can manage and continue to teach her. She has been mistreated in a previous home, although this has not shown to have affected her love of humans.

She is a very boisterous, young dog, who is now loving experiencing what life has to offer. However, with this, comes some challenges as she does need to learn boundaries, in particular, learning how to walk on a lead properly. She can also struggle to contain her stress and frustration levels at times whist on a lead if she becomes over stimulated, and this can result in her ragging on her lead through frustration.

Amber is muzzle trained and this behaviour is managed effectively when she is wearing her muzzle whilst out and about on her lead. This improves the quality of her time outdoors as she is much calmer and it breaks the cycle of her behaviour.

She has been out in a home recently but unfortunately for Amber, they chose not to follow our behavioural advice package which had successfully been managing and improving her behaviours. As a result, they were unable to manage Amber, resulting in their decision to return her 🙁

Amber loves an off lead play in the paddock, and she is proving a whizz over the agility equipment. She also loves playing ball. She adores human contact and a cuddle in her kennel and is always super excited to see people.

She is a clever dog, who requires an experienced bull breed owner who is willing to follow our guidance to help her to continue to learn the right path in life.

If you feel that you can give Amber the love and understanding she needs, and are willing to follow our advice and guidance on how to continue to help her improve, we would love to hear from you. This young girl really does deserve her happy ever after.
